Alexander the Great's soldier, Lydias of Miletus, has survived the ultimate campaigns of the king's lifestyles. He now has to house the chaos surrounding his dying. Lydias throws his lot in with Ptolemy, certainly one of Alexander's generals who has grabbed Egypt as his own territory. Aided through the eunuch Bagoas, the Persian archer Artashir, and the Athenian courtesan Thais, Ptolemy and Lydias needs to tackle all of the contenders in a determined event whose prize is the destiny of a white urban by means of the ocean, and Alexander's legacy.
