Sister Species: Women, Animals and Social Justice

Sister Species: ladies, Animals, and Social Justice
U. of Illinois Press, 2011

Sister Species
addresses interconnections among speciesism, sexism, racism, and homophobia, clarifying why social justice activists within the twenty-first century needs to establish and problem those a variety of intersecting varieties of oppression simultaneously.  Through brave, gripping own narratives from ladies who've for my part explored hyperlinks of oppression among humans and nonhuman animals, Sister Species examines exploitative companies similar to cockfighting, manufacturing unit farming, vivisection, and the bushmeat exchange. Sister Species demonstrates with painful readability why each activist needs to be on board with different social justice concerns.
